Summer is often associated with bright sunshine and clear skies. However, this is Alaska. We had what seemed like unending rain all season. While rain may be a damper on plans, we chose to make the best of it! The pleasant pitter-patter of raindrops provided a soothing soundtrack to our summer adventures, enhancing the beauty of nature around us.
Although we didn’t get in as much hiking as we would’ve liked, we still managed to get out on the trail a few times. The dogs enjoyed exploring Alaskas mountains and beautiful views!
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of our incredible guests who joined us this summer. Thanks to all of you, this summer has been our busiest one yet! Together, we’ve experienced magical days filled with strolls alongside our furry friends, heartwarming cuddles, and lots of doggie kisses. We could not have asked for a better group of guests to share these unforgettable moments with. We are truly grateful for your company and the joy you brought into our doggy world!
Towards the end of our summer, one thing stole everyone’s hearts – our furry friend Susitna blessed us with a litter of 9 adorable puppies! Born on August 30th, she gave birth to 6 girls and 3 boys. We have had so much fun watching them grow, taking their first steps into the world, and reminding us of the precious moments that life brings.
We are excitedly getting ready for winter and the upcoming tour season. Our team has been hard at work enhancing the dog yard, clearing trails, getting our dogs in shape with the 4wheeler, and going on some amazing camping trips with them. We are also constructing a new building where our guests can step inside and cozy up by the fire as they prepare for their thrilling winter adventure on the dog sled!
There’s always something new happening around here—projects never seem to come to an end, but we love every moment of it!
